About LagoonCornerPlay
LagoonCornerPlay is an independent games publication operated by LagoonCornerPlay Review Bureau from Christchurch, New Zealand. Our desk focuses on competitive play, console launches, strategy guides and practical player-first reporting.
The publication began in 2017 as a small local column written by players who wanted slower, more useful criticism than launch-week hype. It grew into a 8-person editorial desk covering reviews, guides, patch notes, competitive play and digital culture.
How we work
Every review is built around time with the game, release context, accessibility notes, platform performance and the kind of player who will actually benefit from the recommendation. We separate reporting, criticism and guide writing so readers can tell whether they are reading opinion, practical advice or news context.
